About the Board
The Nevada Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Board is established under the provisions of NRS Chapter 637B to protect the public health, safety and welfare by ensuring that only competent persons practice speech-language pathology, audiology and hearing aid dispensing in the State. The current Board was formed in 2015 following a merger by the Legislature of the formerly separate Audiologists and Speech Pathologists Board and Hearing Aid Specialists Board.
The mission of the Board is to protect the public health, safety and welfare by ensuring that only competent speech-language pathology, audiology and hearing aid dispensing practitioners are licensed in the state and that those practitioners maintain an appropriate standard of professional conduct.
Our Board licenses the following qualified practitioners throughout the State of Nevada:
-
Speech-Language Pathologists
-
Audiologists
-
Hearing Aid Specialists and Hearing Aid Specialist Apprentices
Our Board is funded solely by licensing fees assessed practitioners. The Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Board does not receive funds from the State General Fund.
